LOCAL projects have been awarded grants from their local East Lindsey District Councillors as part of the community initiative scheme.

In Burgh Le Marsh Cllr Neil Cooper has given £1000 to Burgh Town Council for Christmas Tree Lights for the town.

In Spilsbym Cllr Jim Swanson has provided a £125 contribution towards the costs of maintaining the industrial dishwasher used by the Spilsby Lunch Group, which is run by volunteers to provide around 35 elderly people with lunches every Monday. Cllr Swanson has also contributed £125 towards the costs of providing a wireless lapel microphone system for use at the monthly meetings of U3A held at the Franklin Hall in Spilsby.
