“I agree, we did the right thing rehabilitating him from a moral point of view. There might be an argument over the cost but certainly in the majority of professional clubs the insurance would have paid his wages during his time out. Then when he back to fitness we would have to and this perhaps meant he was let go. Anyways like all Lincoln players let go he has made his way to Gainsborough so best of luck to him there. We might see him very soon one way or another”

“Alex9999 - please remember that LCFC stuck by him following his terrible injury. Had they shown him the door in the period immediately after sustaining this injury LCFC would have been rightly hauled over the coals by the fans.
The situation with Barraclough has never been subject to satisfactory explanation but is a totally different kettle of fish to this.
I wish Conal Platt success in whatever career he chooses to follow and thank him for his efforts for the club.”

“Good luck, Conal.
Disgusting that City have let him go.
He's better on one leg than some of the no hopers City have in the squad now.
GOING DOWN!”

“So we stick with him throughout his injury, rehabilitate him and then release him? More great business sense akin to the Barraclough debacle”

“Best of luck to him, I hope he goes on to have a decent career after the leg break and doesn't go the way of the unfortunate Chris Cornelly.”
