Concern over proposals for 200 per cent increase on car park charges
CONCERN has been raised about the implications of proposals to increase charges in a Skegness car park by almost 200 per cent.
The Lawn car park, at the rear of the Hildred's Centre, is run by East Lindsey District Council on lease from the owners Zurich Assurance Limited, between who the revenue is split.

KNOCK-ON EFFECT?: Parking charges at the Lawn car park in Skegness are proposed to increase by nearly 200 per cent to bring them into line with others in the district.
Charges at the site have not seen an increase since 2003, but now, ELDC are proposing to bring the Lawn car park back in line with other short stay amenity car parks in the district. This would see a two hour stay, which currently costs 40p, rising to £1.20.
