SKEGNESS has been described as becoming a giant car lot due to the number of cars being sold on the roadside.

A resident of Grosvenor Road raised concerns to Skegness Town Council.

  1. Car sales

He said: “Skegness is becoming a giant car lot. Everywhere you look there are notices for cars for sale on grass verges. It was highlighted to me that people coming out of Beacon Medical Practice could not see coming out of there because of the cars for sale.”

The meeting was told that police powers are limited but Trading Standards could be informed if it appears that the same people are systematically selling cars for sale.

Councillor Mark Smith said he has raised the issue before, particularly on Lincoln Road.

He said: “It is also an eyesore because it also means we cannot cut the grass.”
