Balfour Beatty Construction Ltd will build two new schools and carry out major refurbishments at another as part of the Lincoln Priory Academies project.

The project has replaced five schools with three academies.

In the £60m scheme newbuildings will go up at the Priory Witham Academy on the former Joseph Ruston Technology College site and The Priory City Academy on the former City of Lincoln Community College site.

The Priory Academy LSST will undergo significant refurbishments. Lincolnshire County Council is putting £10m into the project for the primary part of the scheme which will incorporate an all-ages school at the Priory Witham Academy.

Secondary school accommodation will take shape thanks to £50m of Government funding.
