Councils agree to keep Money's Yard toilets open in Sleaford
THE public conveniences in Money's Yard will remain open for at least another year.
North Kesteven District Council (NKDC) and Sleaford Town Council have agreed a deal to keep the toilets open.
Sleaford Town Council agreed to take on a 12-month licence, starting on April 1. North Kesteven District Council will keep the toilets open until that date, when the contract begins.
Under this deal, the building will still belong to NKDC but Sleaford Town Council will be responsible for the management of the toilets and fixtures and fittings of the building.

Both authorities hope they will be able to maintain the existing opening hours as currently in operation.
North Kesteven DC is making a financial contribution towards the business rates.
Both authorities will review their position towards the end of the contract. Councillor Brian Watson, leader of Sleaford Town Council, said: "We are pleased to be able to safeguard this facility, for the time being, for residents of and visitors to Sleaford. The Town Council will continue to explore alternative toilet provision."
