County Hospital Louth gets £4.25m cash boost to refurbish two wards
County Hospital Louth is set to benefit from a £4.25-million cash injection after its ownership was transferred to NHS Lincolnshire
Originally owned by United Lincolnshire Hospitals Trust, NHS Lincolnshire is pleased to announce that it has approved a £4.25m spend at the hospital to refurbish two wards.

TRANSFERRING OWNERSHIP: County Hospital Louth will be taken over by NHS Lincolnshire coupled with a £4.25m cash injection.
As its partner, Kier Health will assist the refurbishment of Carlton and Manby wards at the hospital, as well as a schedule of backlog maintenance work, which is due to be completed by the summer next year.
Senior framework manager for Kier Health, Andrew Ernest said: "We are delighted that NHS Lincolnshire has selected Kier Health as its partner and very much look forward to working together on the refurbishment of Carlton and Manby Wards at Louth Hospital."

Part of the ongoing NHS transition will see Primary Care Trusts including NHS Lincolnshire, closed on March 31, 2013 and replaced by Clinical Commissioning Groups.
The ownership of Louth Hospital will then transfer ultimately into NHS Property Services Ltd.
Interim accountable officer at Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group, Gary James said: "The transfer of Louth Hospital will mean that local doctors, as the new commissioners, will have the responsibility for the services available at the hospital.
"In practice this means local people will be closer, via their GP, to the decisions being made for Louth Hospital, which has to be a good thing."
As part of the same transition, Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group will take on local responsibility for commissioning of services at Louth Hospital from NHS Lincolnshire with effect from April 1, 2013.
Mr James added: "The whole ethos behind the new Lincolnshire East Clinical Commissioning Group is 'now we're closer.'
"What we mean by this is that as a patient you've never been so close to the decisions being made about your local NHS as you will be from April 1, when our new Clinical Commissioning Group will be up and running.
"We are determined that we will continue to build on the commitments made to Louth Hospital as part of Shaping Health for Louth, and local stakeholders, including local people and patients, will remain a vital part of this process."
