Cyclist dies in hospital after crash near football ground
A man has died after sustaining serious injuries in a crash close to Gainsborough Trinity football ground.
The collision happened earlier this morning at Northolme, near Gainsborough, when a Landrover Freelander hit a man riding a bicycle.
The cyclist, who was taken to Scunthorpe General Hospital, has now been pronounced dead.
As a result, police have closed Love Lane, the Morton Terrace junction, and the junction of North Street and New Street. Diversions are now in place and traffic is being directed from Northolme.
