Dancers in Lincoln go to the poles
Pole dancers from all over the region will be in Lincoln later this month to compete in the national championships.
Pole Divas 2008 is a national contest to find Britain's top pole dancers.

Nuala Dibsdale shows her pole dancing know-how.
And Lincoln has been chosen as a host venue thanks to the presence in the city of the PolePlay studio, where women are flocking to learn one of the latest crazes in contemporary exercise.
Nuala Dibsdale, who runs the studio, says there is far more to pole dancing than the popular, somewhat tainted, image of scantily-clad girls writhing seductively in a darkened nightclub.
"Pole dancing is an absolutely fantastic exercise and also gives the confidence a great boost," said Ms Dibsdale (26), of Monks Road.
PolePlay holds regular evening classes at the studio at The Terrace in Grantham Street – and girls and women as young as 11 and as old as 63 have come along to hone their fitness.
"It's good that the East Midlands heats of the competition are being staged here as it will be good publicity for pole dancing," Ms Dibsdale said.
The East Midlands heat of Pole Divas takes place at Pulse in Silver Street on October 18 from 6pm.
Winners of the East Midlands heat will go to the grand final in Manchester on November 23.

“I am sorry guys but you are all so wrong and judgementle, it is an extreamly difficult and benificial phisicaly and mentaly, we take our inspiration here at pole play from sierkido, which is a form of chinise pole, i chalange anyone who has misconceptions about poling to come down to our studio and take a look, just to add that when i was 5 i did more provocotive forms of ballroom dancing than this (rumba, tango, salsa), what a small minded pompas way to view something you clearly know nothing about. please come and see what we do you may be suprised..............”
