Darren Bryant in court on charge of attempting to murder step-brother in Gainsborough
A Gainsborough man charged with attempting to murder his step-brother after a stabbing has appeared at Lincoln Crown Court.
David Jupp, 29, suffered stab wounds and was rushed to Lincoln County Hospital from a house in Ashcroft Road, Gainsborough at 12.30am on Sunday, December 30.

Police described his condition as critical but stable after surgery.
Mr Jupp's step-brother Darren William Bryant, 30, of Elsham Walk, Gainsborough, was later charged with attempted murder.

Bryant appeared at Lincoln Crown Court by videolink today and spoke only to confirm his name. He was remanded in custody and will next appear at Lincoln Crown Court for a plea and case management hearing on 22 March.
Adjourning the case Judge Michael Heath told Bryant: "On that occasion you will be asked to enter a plea to the allegation that you face. If there is to be a trial in this case it will start on 17 June."
A 15-year-old boy was arrested and bailed to March 9 pending further enquiries. Police have moved quickly to tell the public this was a one-off incident.
East Midlands Ambulance Service alerted police to the incident, while forensics officers have been examining the scene of the stabbing.
