Development on show at college
PLANS for a new housing development in Horncastle will go on display next week.
The proposals, for 129 new homes off Mareham Road, will be on show at a public consultation event at Horncastle College on Thursday, July 12 from 4pm to 8pm.
Site plans of the proposed development will be on display and representatives from the development team including architects, planning consultants and transport experts will be on hand to answer questions.
Following the event, the landowner will study feedback from local residents and hopes to submit an outline planning application to East Lindsey District Council later in the summer.

The 22-acre site is currently farmed by the landowners and, if developed, would also include a children's play area, a public square and new footpaths and cycle links to adjacent residential and employment areas, along with the new homes.
Simon Williams from Masons Chartered Surveyors, on behalf of the landowner, said: "We have discussed the proposals with the local planning authority and we are now looking to find out the views of local people on our outline proposals.
"There is a need for good quality, family homes in Horncastle and we hope to provide a mix of houses for a range of budgets. The landowners are keen to see the homes designed to an excellent standard and we are committed to properties that will fit in well with the surrounding area."
