A LITTLE while ago King Edward Street was closed for a few days. It was a nightmare.

I am a resident of Rookery Avenue and it took nearly half an hour to get to the Tesco petrol station.

Also, while the road is our nearest access from our end of town, has the county council's Highways Department got a 'Plan B' for when the Southgate level crossing is closed for this new development?

Cars are parked on both sides of the road and only a week ago there was almost a road rage incident when there was no space for motorists to pull in.

I feel sorry for the bus drivers who have to negotiate this stretch of Castle Causeway.

Has anything been put into place ready for the extra 4,500 homes that are planned for the Sleaford area and the increased number of cars that this will create?

The district council seems to have all its energies tied up with this new development and is forgetting the other important issues.
