On April 29, he and his partner came to Louth on a caravan holiday at Legbourne.
He said that Franklin was driving a Vauxhall Astra car and when he was in Newmarket, he crashed into a line of unattended parked cars.
Both he and his partner ran off but they were followed by a witness who contacted the police who found the couple in a taxi.
Both were arrested and Franklin admitted he had been the driver but claimed he had drunk alcohol since the accident.
A blood sample was obtained and a forensic scientist calculated that at the time of the accident, the proportion of his blood/alcohol level was 97. The legal limit is 80.
When police went to the caravan they were staying at, they found a Logun Axor air rifle which Franklin did not have a firearms certificate for.
He was sentenced to four weeks' custody suspended for two years and disqualified from driving for a further three years.

“I thought a Logun Axsor has a muzzle energy of 11.5 ft/lbs, so does not need a firearms licence?
Is there a suggestion he has modified it, or changed the spelling to increase its power?”

“disqualified for three years in July 2011 for the second drink drive offence, and nows hes gone and done it again!
Judge " oh i will just slap another 3 years onto your disqualifcation". Yeah because that will work. The man should never be allowed a licance, or near the front seat of a car.The punishment for drink driving is still to soft......”
