    “@ richie14

I totally agree, why tell the world, lets hope the afghans don't read the echo daily. Or maybe it's a decoy, we will say its based in waddo, but really, it's being controlled by uni students while sat in Mc Donald's ushering there free wifi, and while they think there playing call of duty there actually controlling the drone.”

The Reaper is a multi-role aircraft and can be setup in various configurations to undertake varying roles: intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance (ISR), close air support (CAS), combat search and rescue (CSAR), precision strike, buddy-laser, convoy/raid overwatch, route clearance, target development, and terminal air guidance.

The photo is a stock picture of a Reaper not setup for ISR.”

“The aircraft look surprisingly well-armed for a surveillance and intelligence role. Presumably this is defence against Taliban fighter jets, or Pakistani villagers' helicopter gunships?”

“I understand how important these un-manned aircraft are. But why, oh why, tell the world where they are being piloted from? Every News source in this country has now given our enemies the precise location. Please "Think before you Print"”
