Drop in number of Lincolnshire people claiming Jobseeker's Allowance
More than 400 people in Lincolnshire have found work in the last month.
The number of people claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance has dropped by 421 in August.
A total of 12,557 people were claiming the benefit in the county as at the end of August, 2.8 per cent of the eligible working population.
The figure is also 0.4 per cent lower than this time last year, when 13,997 people were claiming the benefit.

The rate of claimants in Lincolnshire is below the East Midlands figure of 3.2 per cent and the national rate of 3.3 per cent.
Meanwhile, in Lincoln, 4.5 per cent of the eligible workforce, 2,932 people, are claiming Jobseeker’s Allowance.
This is a small decrease in the last month, with 64 people finding work.
