Dropping litter costs Horncastle man £550
DROPPING a chip wrapper on the floor has cost a Horncastle man over £550.
Dale Lidster of Tennyson Gardens appeared at Skegness Magistrates Court, where he pleaded guilty to throwing down a chip wrapper in the Market Place on September 9, last year.
The littering was caught on CCTV.
He was fined £300 and ordered to pay £250 and a further £15 victim surcharge.

East Lindsey District Council brought the prosecution as it continues it efforts to reduce littering and fly tipping in the district.
Portfolio holder for the environment, Councillor Tony Bridges, said: "Littering is a blight on our community and will not be tolerated. We spend of a million pounds each year clearing up after irresponsible people and we hope this case sends a strong message to those who do think littering is acceptable."
