Drunk man attacked girlfriend
A MAN attacked his girlfriend after drinking three bottles of vodka, a Lincoln court has been told.
Vitalijus Dovydauskas, 29, appeared at Lincoln Magistrates' Court yesterday in relation to the incident.
Dovydauskas, of Portland Street in Lincoln, pleaded guilty to assault after a hearing at the court in Lincoln.
Prosecution solicitor Marie Stace said his girlfriend was punched in the face and pushed in to a kitchen wall during the attack.
She sustained a cut to her elbow and bashed her hand.
Dovydauskas also made threats to kill her when he was taken away by police, the court heard.
Miss Stace said the attack was the first time Dovydauskas had been charged with a violent offence.
Nigel Burns, mitigating, said: "I can say this is very much a one-off, supported by what the complainant said about it."
Magistrates adjourned sentencing until August 3. He was granted conditional bail with orders not to contact the victim.

“Being drunk is not an excuse, he is a scum-bag. You'll find it's not a one-off. Of course he's sorry, he got caught this time.”
