EASTER EVENT: Beauty and the beach in Lincolnshire
Lincolnshire's 50 miles of coastline provides a wealth of opportunities for nature lovers. Grab your binoculars and go looking for ospreys, badgers, hares, rare birds, seals and even sharks.
Some spots to try are Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve, which covers three miles of coast from Skegness to The Wash and has sandy and muddy seashore, sand dunes, saltmarsh and freshwater marsh, the RSPB Freiston Shore Nature Reserve near Boston and the Far Ings National Nature Reserve at Barton Upon Humber.

The county offers man-made feasts for the eye too, such as the Humber Bridgeand the UK's first purpose-built cloud viewing platform in the sand dunes at Anderby Creek.
But the kids might prefer a trip to Skegness, with the attractions of its pier, or Mablethorpe., which has spectacular 21st century beach huts.
