EASTER EVENT: Countryside walks in Lincolnshire
For lovers of the great outdoors, Easter is the perfect time to don the walking boots and head for the countryside.
Lincolnshire's wide-open spaces and big skies are tailor made for walking and if you like a challenge how about tacking the 147-mile Viking Way from the Humber Bridge to Oakham in Rutland?

There are plenty of waymarked routes to tempt the less ambitious too, among them the Tennyson Trail around the landscapes that inspired the poet, the traffic-free Water Rail Way along the former Lincoln to Boston line, where you see unique sculptures, and the ancient woods within Grimsthorpe Park where King Henry VIII once hunted deer.
