EASTER EVENT: Hunting for treasures at Doddington Hall

It's not only seekers of chocolate who can find satisfaction in Lincolnshire over the holiday. The county is a happy hunting ground for those looking for other kinds of treasures. Its small towns offer specialist shops and events where all kinds of delights can be found.

Lovers of antiques will head for Horncastle, where there are dozens of shops packed with curiosities and furniture from bygone ages as well as markets every Thursday and Saturday. Horncastle has been dubbed England's best antiques town.

Handiwork fans could do worse than seek out the Easter Craft Fair at Doddington Hall on Easter Sunday and Monday, where 35 quality crafters will present their wares.

The event is open from 10am to 5pm both days. Stalls differ daily. Admission £1 adults, children under 16 free. The house and gardens are also open on both these days.
