Kyle's childhood in California had jazz as its soundtrack and he credits his jazz-loving Hollywood star father with introducing him to the big stars who were performing at that time.
Kyle was encouraged to take up the double bass by the great Ray Brown.
Kyle's band's music is sharp, funky and very accessible taking sideways glances at rock and fusion and will appeal to a wide 'cross-over' audience of modern music fans.
His band, which features predominantly British musicians, tours extensively in Europe and the US. The line up is Kyle Eastwood – double & electric basses, Andrew McCormack – piano, Graeme Blevins – saxophone, Quentin Collins – trumpet, Martyn Kaine – drums. Tickets: £14, Concessions £12, Students £7 Lincoln Drill Hall. Ticketline 01522 873894 www.lincolndrillhall.com

Claire Martin OBE has received numerous awards and plaudits from around the world, especially in America.
She has collaborated with many great artists on the jazz scene as well as with more popular stars such as Paul McCartney and Noel Gallagher and co-stared with the late Sir Richard Rodney Bennett on a number of projects and has had the honour of opening for the great Tony Bennett. Claire has also presented BBC Radio 3's 'Jazz Line Up' since 2000.
This chamber-jazz adventure promises a magical fusion of musical genres and a new perspective to songs such as Kurt Weill's My Ship, Tom Waits' Old Boyfriends and Lennon and McCartney's She's leaving Home. Ticketline 01522 873894 www.lincolndrillhall.com
