Easy way to save on fuel costs
A TOTAL of 200 Gainsborough homes are entitled to free energy efficiency work which could be worth up to £2m, it has been revealed.
And the professionals who have teamed up with the local council to install cavity wall insulation, loft insulation and even new gas boilers in properties in the south west ward are making themselves highly visible this weekend.

Experts from Keepmoat are at the Trinity Arts Centre until 3pm today (Friday) and 9am until noon tomorrow (Sat) to give residents advice on whether their homes qualify for the work.
They will also have a stand at the Gainsborough Riverside Festival, which is attracting thousands of visitors to the town.

Warmer homes and lower fuel bills are the aim of the scheme – specifically for houses in an area of the town which has official status as an area of urban deprivation.
Councillor Malcolm Parish is the chairman of the authority's prosperous communities committee.
He said: "We are delighted to be working with Keepmoat to provide improvement to homes in the south west ward of Gainsborough and we really hope this scheme can bring about real improvements to the community and help to reduce fuel bills and improve the overall quality of the housing stock in the area.
"We would really encourage residents and homeowners to get their homes surveyed and take up the improvements that are on offer free of charge."
The scheme is funded through the Government's Community Energy Saving Programme initiative.
