A 25-yard strike from Tom Phipp has given Ebbsfleet a slender half-time lead against Lincoln City this afternoon.

The winger cut inside from the left and fired an unstoppable shot past Paul Farman nine minutes before the break.

Ebbsfleet would have scored earlier had it not been for the City goalkeeper who was it his best to deny Paul Lorraine midway through the half.

City's best chance came through Alan Power who hit the bar from 20 yards after just five minutes.
