Lincolnshire egg-throwers vow not to crack under pressure of Russian roulette series
A team from Lincolnshire will be hoping they don't end up with egg on their faces when they travel to India for the World Russian Egg Roulette Series.
Led by Andy Dunlop, they will travel thousands of miles to the city of Amritsar to have a crack at becoming champions on February 27.
He will be joined by retired pilot Norry Bell, from South Rauceby, Stephen Bath, from Quarrington, and David Leech, from Leasingham.
Mr Dunlop, a former Russian egg roulette national champion from Swaton, near Sleaford, says the team has already started preparing for the match by using ancient Buddhist spiritual techniques.

He said: "We have honed our skills in reiki, aura differentia and egg divining. We won't be relying on luck.
"We're taking two trophies with us – a fine silver cup for the winners and a wooden egg cup mounted on mahogany which will be filled with the crushed shells of our sporting endeavour, like our own version of the Ashes.
"We'd really like to come back with the silver cup and we'll certainly do the best we can.
"The Indians claim Russian egg roulette is a sport they first invented, but yet they've had to ask us for the rules beforehand. They won't know what's hit them."
Russian egg roulette is a test of wits and courage, which sees competitors smash eggs on their own heads.
The trial of nerves involves six eggs, five of which are hard-boiled and one which is raw. And the loser is the competitor who quite literally ends up with egg on their face.
It is one of the most popular events at the World Egg Throwing Championships, held each year in the village of Swaton.
It has now captured the hearts and imagination of the entire globe which has led the Lincolnshire team to play their first overseas match.
During their trip to India, the fearsome four will also be supporting the Polio National Immunisation Day as part of The Royal International Project to rid the world of the disease.
