Event proves pulling power
THE weather failed to dampen the spirits of punters who turned out in their droves to the annual Gamston Working Weekend and Show.
The National Vintage Tractor and Engine Club-run event showed off harvesting techniques of the past and present plus a host of other features.

Liz Bradshaw, part of the organising committee, labelled the event a big success.
She said: "It was a really enjoyable weekend and everyone seemed to have a good time.
"There was a grand auction with 500 lots and a countryside service which included the blessing of a horse plough by the Bishop of Sherwood. Despite a shower there were 200 people in attendance."
The Dinnington Colliery Band accompanied the hymn singing and there was a ploughing match, vintage tractor run and a plethora of machinery on display – including straw loaders, combine harvesters and vintage tractors.
And Sue Hodge – better known as Mimi from BBC classic comedy 'Allo 'Allo presented the awards ceremony.
The event has been held for the past nine years and plans are already afoot for next year's show.
