A PREGNANT mum-of-two has been remanded in prison ahead of her trial at Lincoln Crown Court.

Sylvia Edmonds is accused of stealing items including a television and paperwork from a house in Cotman Road, Lincoln.

The offence is said to have taken place last Monday, while Edmonds was on bail awaiting trial for separate matters.

Lincoln Magistrates' Court heard yesterday the burglary was said to have been committed by Edmonds, so she could pay off drug debts totalling £1,800.

No plea has been entered by the 23-year-old to the theft charge.

Solicitor Richard Marshall requested his client be released on bail.

Edmonds made a similar plea to city magistrates.

Both requests were turned down.

Edmonds, of Westwick Gardens, Lincoln, will be kept in custody until her next court appearance.

This is due to take place on Wednesday, August 4.
