Families urged to bring a bottle back home
Families are being urged to recycle more plastic bottles.
Councillors are encouraging people to reduce their waste following Recycle Week, which began nationally on Monday, June 18.
The Lincolnshire Waste Partnership said more needed to be done, despite plants like ECO Plastics in Hemswell already processing tens of thousands of bottles annually.
The vice-chairman of the body, Lewis Strange, said: "If you buy a plastic bottle of drink for your lunch, or your children take one to school for their pack-up, make sure the bottles come back home again, so you can reuse or eventually recycle them easily in your kerbside collection.

"If everyone in the country recycled just one extra plastic bottle during Recycle Week this would save enough energy to power over 71,000 plasma screen televisions for a year."
The Lincolnshire Waste Partnership comprises the county's local authorities and the Environment Agency.
