PERMANENT records of village life past and present will be created thanks to lottery funding.

Community Lincs has received £33,900 from the Heritage Lottery Fund for the research project to celebrate Lincolnshire's Best Kept Villages.

Volunteers will be invited to gather information including photographs, written archives, trophies and oral history about their village over the past 50 years which will help to create a permanent record of how village life has changed.

Community Lincs is also seeking nominations from community building committees for the John Baker Trophy awarded to people who give their time to manage and maintain Lincolnshire's community buildings.
