Fantasy football fan takes popular internet game to European stage
For many football fans, life would not be the same without the cut and thrust of fantasy leagues.
Now a Lincoln man has devised his own league – in a move which could give footy lovers another excuse to spend hours tweaking their teams on the internet.

Senol Bulut.
Soccer mad Senol Bulut has spent months putting together the new league – which, like others, awards points to people when their players perform on the pitch.
Fantasy football leagues have exploded in popularity since they rolled out on the internet.
Now Mr Bulut, a Liverpool and Galatasaray fan from Rookery Lane, is hoping to draw in gamers looking for something slightly different.
The 30-year-old salesman says his league, at www.hayallerintakimi.com, will allow fans to create teams in leagues across Europe – unlike the Premiership-based games usually played in the UK.
"I realised there was a gap in the market for this kind of organisation where you can play in any league, so I thought, why not set one up," he said.
"The main advantage is that you can play in multiple leagues.
"Now it's the English league and the Turkish league, and soon the Italian league, the Spanish league and others.
"It's taken quite a long time to make it.
"I started in January, and it's all been done on my own."
Steve Lilley, a senior official at Lincolnshire FA, said: "From our perspective, I welcome anything that promotes football.
"Football gets good press and bad press, and something like this gives a lot of people who might not be participating a sense of belonging – something to be part of."
