Father jumped on car bonnet and kicked windscreen in road rage attack
A FATHER lost his temper and caused more than £180 of damage after an errant driver refused to apologise to his children for clipping his car, a court heard.
Paul Hopkins, 27, of no fixed abode, was driving into Asda in Newark Road when another driver struck his car while travelling the wrong way through the store's one-way system.

Jill Derby, prosecuting, said Hopkins had then followed the other motorist to Swinderby village, where they both stopped and words were exchanged.
She said: "After the complainant had moved off down the road, Hopkins again followed him and they stopped once more, with Hopkins getting out, banging and jumping on the bonnet and kicking the windscreen."
Hopkins pleaded guilty to criminal damage.
Mark Wood, mitigating, said all his client had wanted was an apology from the other motorist, but had lost his temper.
Hopkins was sentenced to a 12-month conditional discharge.
