Father wants volunteers to pull Stagecoach bus along Skegness seafront for charity
A FATHER from Skegness is hoping to rope in as many people as he can take part in a bus pull for his son.
Eric Huckle is making a plea to encourage strong individuals to take part in the pull in a bid to raise more than £7,000 to help his son, Steven, walk again.
Fundraising co-ordinator Geoff Poulter said: "Eric is enlisting his colleagues at Stagecoach to pull the coach along the sea front to buy a stand up wheelchair for his son."
Eric's son Steven suffers from Osteoporosis and Muscular Dystrophy with Brittle Bone Syndrome and after suffering from a fall last year is wheelchair bound.

Steven said: "I fell to the floor and broke my back in three places.
"I was taken to the Pilgrim where I stayed for three-and-a-half months and was told I would never walk again.
"I was referred to Northern General Hospital in Sheffield where they have helped me not to give up the idea of walking again."
A stand-up wheelchair, not funded by the NHS, could make the difference to Steven walking again.
Geoff said: "Eric is hoping that enough colleagues, friends and well wishers from the area will sign up to make teams to pull the coach through the town."
"We are hoping that the event will take place at Easter next year and although we have Stagecoach's full support we need to finalise plans from the council."
A range of fund raising events will be taking place although many donations to the cause have already been made.
Eric said: "Although the NHS provides vouchers to help towards the cost of standard wheelchairs no help can be sought for the stand-up wheelchair that Steven desperately needs."
