Food and drink theme for latest LincUpLive social media event
Food producers, restaurateurs and hospitality professionals are invited to learn how social media can improve their businesses.
Eat, Drink & Be Social will give attendees tips on how to get the most out of the latest social media tools.
It is the latest digital conference under the LincUpLive umbrella, which is taking place for the third time in Lincoln.
Celia Lacy, LincUpLive co-founder, said using new online platforms was important for rural firms.
"Social media is a vital tool for helping businesses create a presence, especially for those in remote locations or working in niche markets such as the food and hospitality industries," she said.
"Because Lincolnshire has such a great food community, and the county has so many thriving hospitality businesses, we wanted to create a new sector specific version of our already successful LincUpLive format.
"The result is Eat, Drink & Be Social."
The keynote speaker will be Diana Plazas, the online brand manager for DoubleTree by Hilton Worldwide.
She will share her advice with delegates about how they can market their brands on social media platforms.
Ms Lacy added: "We hope that Eat, Drink & Be Social will help to raise the profile of Lincolnshire as Britain's top food spot, while adding a new spin to our conference."
There will be several expert speakers, breakout sessions and opportunities to network with other delegates.
The two previous LincUpLive conferences attracted more than 300 guests and generated more than 4 million impressions of Twitter reach for the guests and businesses involved.
And the Twitter "hashtag" for the conference in February – #LUL360 – began trending on the social network site because of the discussions generated.
Ms Lacy explained that this time, there would be a number of improvements on the last event.
The conference is being sponsored by the Select Lincolnshire and Tastes of Lincolnshire partnership and partnered by the Echo.
And students from the University of Lincoln will be blogging updates live from the hotel.
Mary Powell from the Select Lincolnshire & Tastes of Lincolnshire Partnership said:
"Social media is a great way for businesses to promote what they have to offer, and helps us take Lincolnshire food to an even wider audience. This event is an ideal first step for anyone wanting to learn more, and should offer fresh ideas for those who are already online."
It takes place on Friday, September 14 at Lincoln's DoubleTree by Hilton, in Brayford Wharf North.
Tickets, which include lunch and refreshments, cost £99.
