Freed Iraq hostage back in UK
Freed hostage Peter Moore is now back in the UK after spending more than two years in captivity.
The 36-year-old computer expert from Lincoln was kidnapped from the Iraqi finance ministry building in Baghdad in May 2007.
He was released by his captors on Wednesday and his plane flew in to RAF Brize Norton, Oxfordshire, yesterday evening.
Mr Moore's family have said they are "thrilled" to have him back safely.
He had spent the night with them and a Foreign Office spokesman said he would now be "easing back into life".
No fixed plan had been agreed on how the former hostage's return to normality and debriefing process would progress, he added.
Mr Moore was taken hostage along with his four British bodyguards while working in Baghdad for a US firm. During his period of captivity, three of the bodyguards were killed. A fourth is thought to be dead.
Mr Moore's return to the UK was veiled in secrecy following a request for privacy from his family.
Asking the media for space, his designated next-of-kin - stepfather Fran Sweeney and Fran's wife Pauline - said: "We would like to have time with Peter on our own."
They said they had "a lot of catching up to do".
