Funding brings advances in supporting mental health patients
BOSTON Volunteer and Contact Association and Lincolnshire Community Voluntary Service will be able to help more people with mental health issues thanks to funding.
These two groups are among 33 mental health and voluntary organisations celebrating following a successful bid for monies from a £324,000 fund.
Launched by Lincolnshire Partnership NHS Foundation Trust and Lincolnshire County Council in 2011, the fund aims to help people aged 18 to 64 years of age, who have lived through a period of mental illness, or those experiencing mental health problems for the first time.
Some £548,000 has already been allocated to local groups since the mental illness prevention fund started in 2011.
