The date for the funeral of Lincoln City legend Keith Alexander has been announced.

The former Imps player and boss died just hours after overseeing Macclesfield's 1-0 defeat at Notts County on Tuesday.

The 53-year-old's funeral will take place at Lincoln Cathedral at 2pm on Monday, March 15.

Hundreds of mourning fans are expected to flood to the service after scores of flowers, memorabilia and messages of love have been left at the Sincil Bank stadium.
