Adelaide shocked the Lincoln Sunday League as they became the first team to beat GE Rustons

Goals from Ollie Burrows and Dean Szendrey's 18th strike of the season capped a superb battling team performance from Vik Szendrey's men.

Not only did the reigning champions lose, but for the first time in four seasons they failed to score.

The finalists of the Kelly Read Cup were decided at the weekend and three goals from Luke Clifford, plus two from Scott Coupland and one each from Billy Munro and Dean Dye, gave cup holders Welton S&SC a comfortable 7-0 win over Wragby.

Welton will be up against FVA Jerusalem who had Adam Bavin, Ashley McKinstry and a Jonny Bell penalty to thank for their 3-0 success over Hunters Leap.

With GE Rustons losing, FSC Victory missed the chance to close the gap as they went down 4-1 to Swan Athletic.

Ben Clucas's hat-trick after coming on as substitute in the 70th minute inspired Ruston Sports to a high-scoring 7-4 victory over FCW Burtons.

Meanwhile, Scothern eased their relegation worries with a 2-1 win over Metheringham with James Green and Nigel Wallace on target.

Two goals each from Danny Hicks and Lee Swinn enabled AFC Hykeham to beat Nettleham and continue their push for the runners-up spot in Division One.

Bassingham's Paul Newbolt grabbed a hat-trick as his side thumped bottom side Waggon and Horses 7-0, while Jay Barratt also grabbed two in CW Golden Eagle's 4-2 victory over Sporting Lincoln.

Horncastle Town's goal difference may be the factor which could win them the Division Two title and an 8-0 thumping of Branston did it no harm with Jack Baxter's hat-trick being the highlight of the game.

Royal Oak Washingborough will be ready to pounce on any slip up as they kept up the pressure with a 3-1 win over St Giles with goals from Lee Welburn, George King and Christopher Hubbard. Wheatsheaf Vulcan returned to winning ways with a drubbing of Golden Cross A.

Dynamo Varsity came from two down to beat Cherry Willingham 6-2 with Jamie Lawrence scoring another hat-trick. Jack McDonnell scored twice for AFC West End in their 5-3 victory in the Division Three relegation battle with George and Dragon.

Woodhall Spa maintained their top position in Division Four as goals from Gareth Melia, Connor Parsons and Jack Draper saw them edge past AFC Tennyson 3-2.

Newton United will rue letting a 2-0 lead slip away as Andy Ryland, Stephen Pell and Oliver Mangham's first goal for the club gave Plough Sturton a 4-2 win over their fellow title contenders.

Craig Cosgrove's two goals kept Welton S&SC's title aspirations alive in their 4-2 victory at AFC Harpars.

Danny Kent kept his own impressive scoring records going with another three as Victory Athletic beat Newtoft Terriers 8-3.

Division Five looks to be a two-horse race as Railway Inn Thorpe, helped by two goals from Andy Wheatley, kept the top spot.

However, North Lindum Hawks are breathing down their necks as they defeated Witch and Wardrobe 3-2.

AFC Cross beat Poachers 5-0 with two goals from both Kurt Clarence and Phil Harrison to keep up their push for Division Six honours. First-half goals from Liam Cartlidge and Tony Curtis set up a 2-1 for AFC Rustons against Black Swan Coningsby to keep them third.
