Gainsborough Trinity v Lincoln City - match preview
Lincoln City boss Gary Simpson will hope to give striker Nick Wright a longer run out when the Imps take on Gainsborough Trinity in the final of the Lincolnshire Senior Cup tonight at the Northolme (7.45pm).
City head into the game off the back of a 4-1 defeat at high-flying Kidderminster Harriers in the Skrill Premier.
Wright netted Lincoln’s only goal of the game, when he headed in Mo Fofana’s cross on 80 minutes at the Aggborough Stadium.
The forward came on as a second-half substitute for Todd Jordan as he continues to get back into form after a long injury lay-off with a hamstring injury.

“We thought we would try Nick Wright out on a wide position and he got us a goal,” said Simpson.
“That was a bit of a plus. Hopefully that will help him, we've got a game in midweek and we can give him a few more minutes in that one. And hopefully we can try a few things out and get firing again.”
Wright was one of the main attacking threats in pre-season for City alongside Adi Yussuf. Both have struggled with hamstring problems.
While they have both been working back to full fitness, Simpson is having to deal with fresh injury worries with Danny Rowe out with an ankle problem, while Wade Fairhurst missed Saturday’s defeat with a thigh problem.
“It causes frustration when players are injured. It takes time for players to get back to their best,” said Simpson.
“We haven't got a reserve team we can play them in. If I send them out on loan we haven't got them for a month. It is not as cut as dry as people think.
“Danny Rowe is doing running, but his ankle blows up and he's got a massive swelling on it anytime he does anything on it. We have to step back on it.
“Waide might have a chance of playing Tuesday. Adi Yussuf and Wright will play and it gives them a chance to get some more minutes on the pitch.”
