Gary Silk returns to Boston United as Jordan Smith joins Grantham Town
Boston United boss Dennis Greene has brought experienced defender Gary Silk back to Boston United while allowing Jordan Smith to join Grantham Town on loan.
Silk was released by previous Pilgrims boss Graham Drury because the player could not commit to training on Thursday nights.
However, the player's registration was retained by United and Greene has wasted no time in bringing the ex-Notts County ace back to the Jakemans Stadium.
Silk was due to serve a three-match ban before his departure, but is now suspension free and is available for Saturday's trip to Worcester City in Blue Square Bet North.

Meanwhile, winger Smith has joined Grantham Town on loan. The former Corby and Stamford forward was the first signing by former boss Drury, but has struggled to make an impact for the Pilgrims.
In other news, midfielder James Reed has returned to the Pilgrims following a loan spell at Boston Town.
