Glowing reports for two schools
THERE was double reason to celebrate as two schools in a Boston federation notched impressive Ofsted ratings.
Carlton Road Primary and Haven High – both part of the Boston Witham Schools Federation – breezed through their inspections gaining 'good' grades with 'outstanding' features.

Staff and pupils from Carlton Road Primary and Haven High are on top of the world after a glowing couple of Ofsted inspections.
Executive head teacher, Adrian Reed, said the schools are over-the-moon about the outcome.
He said: "We are delighted – we have all worked really hard towards this.
"I think the result is down to the hard work of students, the support of parents, the experience, expertise and dedication of the teaching staff and the superb guidance of the governors.
"The next step is to achieve an overall 'excellent' rating which we are working towards."
Mr Reid admitted the school was fearful of being downgraded as an Ofsted rule change means it is tougher than before to achieve higher ratings.
He added: "This just shows how well we have done to achieve what we have."
At Carlton Road the inspectors graded it as 'good' and praised the 'substantial and sustained' improvement achieved since the last report in 2007.
It praised the 'outstanding' leadership of Mr Reed and the dedication of staff.
Over at Haven High, the report noted the school routinely exceeds its very challenging targets.
It again praised the leadership of the school, adding that teaching was in parts outstanding, in others inadequate and overall satisfactory.
Both Haven High Technology College and Carlton Road Primary School merged to become Lincolnshire's first 3-16 School Federation four years ago and form the largest educational establishment in the area.
