Goalkeeper James McKeown earns Boston United a point at Corby Town
JAMES MCKEOWN preserved Boston United's unbeaten away record with a wonder double save at Corby and then declared: "It was just nice to do something".
The Pilgrims keeper was a spectator for the majority of Saturday's drab goal-less draw at the Rockingham Triangle.

James McKeown was in fine form for Boston at the weekend.
Rob Scott and Paul Hurst's side created the majority of the chances, but the best fell to Corby in the 72nd minute.
McKeown's first save to deny Steve Diggin was impressive enough, but the second was world class. The way the 21-year-old spread himself to block Ben Mackey's follow-up effort was reminiscent of former Manchester United and Denmark great Peter Schmeichel.
The save was so good, Boston's 400-plus supporters greeted it with a standing ovation.
"It was pretty much the only thing I had to do all game," admitted McKeown, who is on-loan from Peterborough until January.
"But that's what I'm there for, I've got to do something.
"The first shot came through a lot of bodies and I managed to get my hand there.
"I thought it was going to be a goal, but the second shot just hit me. It was just nice to do something.
"Obviously it's good when you haven't got much to do because it means the team is doing well.
"But I want to feel like I'm contributing too, provided I do my job properly."
It almost proved to be match-winning save as, 11 minutes later, Lee Canoville wasted a golden opportunity to seal the Pilgrims another three Blue Square Bet North points.
After McKeown's opposite number Chris Mackenzie fumbled Ryan Semple's corner, the United skipper smashed the loose ball over the bar when he really should have scored.
Despite that miss, Boston could be satisfied with a point which kept them fourth in the table, one place above Graham Drury's Corby.
"They (Corby) are quite direct and physical and the pitch isn't great either, it's rock-hard," added McKeown.
"Teams will find it tough going there so I think it's a good point."
Saturday's stalemate was a far cry from Boston's previous two away games – the 9-0 demolition of Redditch United and the 6-3 thumping of Harrogate Town.
However, the Boston camp was just as satisfied with Saturday's draw and last Monday's hard-fought 1-0 victory over Eastwood.
"Against Eastwood (who were beaten 1-0) and at Corby we've shown we can battle," declared McKeown.
"In this league, particularly away from home, you're going to have to do that."
Boston's unbeaten recorded will be tested again over the next two weekends with a home game against second-placed Workington followed by a visit to leaders Alfreton, who boast a 100 per cent winning record so far.
"It's still early days, but by end of this month I think we'll have a pretty good idea of where we'll be this season," added the Pilgrims keeper.
