IT'S been a good week for Ruston Sports in the Sills and Betteridge Lincoln Sunday League as their two wins have catapulted them up to sixth in the League.

Tom Colton, Barry McGann and Rhett Smith gave them a 3-1 win at FCW Burtons on Tuesday and McGann scored all three in their fantastic victory over second placed Welton S&SC on Thursday.

After GE Rustons' blank week, Welton needed to win this game to keep the pressure on the League leaders.

FVA Jerusalem kept their quest for a top three spot on track by beating bottom of the table Anglers FC Saxilby.

Gatehouse enjoyed their first win in quite some time as they overcame Metheringham 4-3.

Danny Nicholson (2), Chris Wells and Lee Walker scored.

Adelaide completed the double over Hunters Leap with goals from Tom Parker and Craig Bridge.

Barring a disaster, Lee Swinn's two goals and one from Robert Ratcliffe for AFC Hykeham in their 3-2 victory at Sporting Lincoln should ensure Premier Division football next season.

Despite two goals from Chris Hodges, Hykeham Plough went down 4-3 in their mid-table battle against St Giles in Division Two.

Division Three is likely to go to the last game as Dynamo Varsity dropped two points against Branston Wagon.

Despite a 4-0 success Tuesday evening, helped by two-goal Andy Callaghan, they will need to win their three games in hand to go above Ivy Tavern.

The Ivy themselves were 6-1 victors against FVA Jerusalem Reserves with Sean Cann (above) grabbing a hat-trick.

AFC West End continued their end of season run with a 3-1 win over Harby United.

Woodhall Spa remain top of Division Four as Liam Green's late header against Market Rasen gave Jimmy Rossington's side their seventh win on the bounce.

Newton United went down to their second defeat on the trot with a 5-2 reversal against GE Rustons Reserves 5-2 with Mark Newman getting three.

Four goals from James Drabble for Welton S&SC Reserves cemented a 7-0 drubbing of Red Lion Dunston to keep them second.

Victory Athletic picked up six points midweek to remain a good outside bet for honours.

Dave Curtis grabbed two as Victory beat Trent Valley 5-3 and he scored again, along with Ricky Greensmith, as they defeated AFC Tennyson 3-0.

Plough Sturton made it a bad week for Market Rasen as they inflicted a second 1-0 defeat of the week on them.

Jonjo McGovern's hat-trick in North Lindum Hawks's 5-2 scoreline against Greenbank means they are very much in the race for the Division Five title.

Poachers were 3-2 winners in Division Six against Welton, while Black Swan Coningsby drew 1-1 with AFC Harpars Reserves.
