Google traffic map shows Lincoln's congestion nightmare
Google's traffic map service has highlighted Lincoln's congestion nightmare.
Lincoln drivers were left furious on Saturday as traffic ground to a halt.
Motorists faced delays of around 45 minutes as a combination of roadworks, diverted trains and fallen trees caused gridlock.
Roadworks are in place in Newark Road at the junction with Brant Road as well as on Whisby Road, causing traffic to back up throughout the city.

Long queues of traffic formed in High Street, Newark Road, Tritton Road and Dixon Street, causing some Lincoln City supporters to be late for the Imps' game against Aldershot.
Angry drivers and residents took to Twitter to vent their frustrations.
Roger Patterson, a West Lindsey District Councillor, tweeted: "Park and ride all round the city is a must. Time to abolish the county council and let city/ districts run everything.
"Even without the roadworks its always gridlock. The east west link will create another traffic hot spot #havenotaclue"
Philip Dainty added: "skelly road standstill. Doddo road standstill. Wisby road shut. Brant, newark and hykeham road all gridlock. Great work.
"Took me nearly half an hour to get down Canwick Hill. I'd set off early but still had no time for a pre-match pint."
