Grab your thinking caps and a beer for literary quiz night
Don't forget your thinking caps for a literary quiz night which has been organised to raise money for a new arts festival.
Lincoln Inspired, a major community arts festival which will take place in May next year, is running the quiz night at the Dog and Bone pub in John Street, Lincoln, on Thursday November 22.
It's the latest in a series of events planned to raise cash to help pay for the costs of putting on the festival, which will feature art, comedy, conversation, books, theatre and performance.
Quiz teams at the Dog and Bone will have to tackle around 70 brain-teasers covering all kinds of literature, from popular novels to classics, poetry and more – there's even a section on James Bond.

"We've run quiz nights in the past and they've always gone down really well," says co-host for the evening Sara Bullimore. "They're great fun but our question-setter John Wenham always manages to come up with a couple of really fiendish questions to test the knowledge of those taking part."
Sara's co-host for the evening is Siren FM's Alex Lewzcuk and the event gets under way at 8pm.
Teams, which can have up to six members, just need to turn up on the night and pay the £5 per team entry fee. There will be small prizes for the winners.
Volunteers have already been working hard behind the scenes planning the new Lincoln Inspired arts festival, which will take place from May 7-12, 2013. It will feature all kinds of arts events and have a special emphasis on words, both written and spoken.
A number of national and local writers have agreed to be patrons of the new festival, including David Almond, Karen Maitland, Margaret Dickinson, Simon Scarrow, Paul Money, Elly Griffiths, Georgia Twynham, Joel Stickley, Elliott Morris (music) and Peter Kerr.
Lincoln Drill Hall and the Angel Coffee Shop have agreed to host events and performances, and Waterstones is the official bookseller.
