Grantham MP to make first major ministerial appearance in home constituency
Grantham and Stamford MP Nick Boles will make his first major ministerial appearance at a business innovation conference in his home constituency.
Mr Boles, who was promoted to the role of Planning and Development Minister in this month's cabinet re-shuffle, will deliver the keynote speech at a Government Support for Innovation event at Stoke Rochford Hall, near Grantham, next Thursday (27th Sept).

The conference, part of South Kesteven District Council's Gravity Fields Festival in celebration of the life and discoveries of Sir Isaac Newton, is offering aspiring businesses the opportunity to share the festival's themes of discovery and innovation.
Business delegates seeking technology development, funding and support will be hoping to hear more detail from Mr Boles on how recently announced changes in planning law will benefit companies keen to grow and develop.

He said: "I strongly support South Kesteven's growth agenda and the council's commitment to make the district a place where people want to live, work and invest.
"The point of the conference is to show how the Government can help those businesses seeking to innovate and grow.
"I hope to play my part by making sure that our planning system becomes more flexible and responsive."
The free event is co-ordinated by De Montfort University and sponsored by Roseland Business Park at Long Bennington. It is aimed at local and regional small to medium size enterprises and will feature informative speakers, networking, presentations and opportunities to discuss individual issues.
There will be speakers from the Technology Strategy Board, UK Trade and Investment, iNet and the Knowledge Transfer Partnership.
One of Newton's favourite topics - space - takes centre stage with Professor Alan Wells, creator of the Leicester Space Research Centre and Tim Just, who runs the Space Applications group at the UK's TSB.
Simon Sheldon, whose Grantham company Amberjac Projects specialises in lithium battery technology for a growing global electric car market and represents one of the town's top innovation success stories, will give the closing presentation.
