THE Cats Protection neutering scheme in Ruskington has been hugely successful (Target, November 5, Page 3).

Only one week since starting the scheme we have had a great response from the public. Already 18 cats have been booked in for neutering this week. This only leaves 30 places for the rest of November.

One of the cats neutered was a female that had produced numerous litters over the last two years, many of which were kittens that suffered from deafness. Her latest litter of seven (!) kittens left her exhausted and her kittens all suffered from a cold and runny eyes. She will now recover and regain her strength.

If you are a Ruskington resident, on a low income and have got proof of benefits, you qualify for the neutering scheme, for which you pay just £5.

Please book your cat, male or female, for neutering at the Foxhall Vet Clinic on (01526) 833555.

All cats will get a free health check before the operation, we will neuter any cat from about five months of age.

Again help us to help your cats and others to stay healthy and homebound!

Stephanie Lange-Cook,

Foxhall Veterinary Clinic, Ruskington.
