Gridlock for drivers as lights fail again
Traffic lights along a major road into Lincoln have failed four times in the past six weeks, the Echo can reveal.
The lights at both the Morrisons and Skellingthorpe Road junctions in Tritton Road have each failed twice since mid-December.=

There was confusion among drivers yesterday as they tried to negotiate the Morrison's Tritton Road junction in Lincoln when then traffic lights failed.
The latest report was called in to the Echo by a concerned motorist trying to commute to work yesterday morning.
Signals for all directions at the crossroad junction in Skellingthorpe Road failed for three hours from 8am.
Motorist Mike Evans, 29, of Burton Road, contacted the Echo about the problem.
"All of the lights went out and traffic just wasn't moving," said Mr Evans, a JCB worker.
"This is a really busy junction and having the lights fail caused a lot of problems. There was a lot of confusion about who had right of way and it could have easily caused an accident."
The Echo previously reported that the same set of signals had gone out for almost 24 hours on January 16. Workers from Lincolnshire County Council had to install temporary lights while the problem was fixed.
The council has now confirmed it is looking at whether further work will be needed on the section.
The Echo also reported the lights at the Morrisons junction in Tritton Road had failed on January 22 and December 19.
But despite the strange co-incidence of so many failures in one area, the council says they are all unrelated.
Spokesman for Lincolnshire Police Dick Holmes warned drivers to be cautious if lights go out.
He said: "Tritton Road drivers have the right of way, although we would ask drivers to be aware of the problem and drive with extreme caution."
