Gym cafe keeps it healthy and fresh
A healthy new café has opened at the Lincoln City branch of LA Fitness in Great Northern Terrace specialising in health foods but is not limited to customers of the fitness chain.
Owner of the cafe Nimali Jayasuriya says: "We've got all sorts of healthy snacks as well as cooked food. We get bodybuilders coming in for protein drinks, parents coming in for cappuccinos while their kids are at swimming lessons and the children coming in afterwards for milkshakes."
Healthy and fresh are the watchwords, in line with the café being part of a gym.
"Everything is made fresh here, even the coleslaw we make from scratch," says Nimali. "It might take a few minutes more, but it's just nicer."

Nimali, 65, owned the Sun café in St Mary's street but retired six years ago after working there for ten years.
"I should still be retired but I got bored, so I'm back," she says. "I missed people, I'm a people person, and friends kept telling me how much they missed my food."
