The bands had to compete in two gruelling heats at the Axe and Cleaver in Boston, prior to the final, performing in front of a public crowd.Gypsy Heart were named winner at the final held at the Sam Newsom Music Centre, after each competing band were scrutinised by the judging panel which included Henry Wright from Lindsey Coast Radio and former Bullet Tooth Drummer Tom Waite.

Music lecturer Jamie Hancocks said: "The quality of the bands this year has been amazing, with all of them performing original music throughout their sets and commanding the stage as if they had been gigging for years. It was a tough decision but Gypsy Heart bagged the win with amazing technical ability, awesome vocals and catchy hooks."
