Half Time: Macclesfield 0 Lincoln City 1
A disciplined first half from Lincoln City against Macclesfield saw them going in at half time with a handy 1-0 lead.
The Imps, playing in all white, were chasing shadows for much of the first half as the home side enjoyed more of the possession, but the Imps restricted their hosts to shots from distance.

Alan Power scored from the penalty spot for Lincoln City
It was a quiet start to the game, with Lincoln City players pressing, but not being able to get the ball off the home side. Macclesfield, however, never really created anything from their possession and were restricted in the first 15 minutes to a speculative shot from John Paul Kissock from 25 yards which went high over Paul Farman's cross bar.
Mo Fofana had City's first chance with a good turn and shot 20 minutes in, but the game really came to life after 23 minutes when referee J. Whiteley gave the visitors a penalty when Alan Power was fouled on the edge of the area. The Imps captain stepped up himself to score from the spot.

Two minutres later Kissock forced Farman into a save with a shot from the edge of the City area as the Silkmen looked for an immediate response.
Ryan Jackson threatened more than once for Macclesfield down their right wing, his shot on the stroke of half time was deflected wide by Boyce's shoulder as the first half came to an end.
