A goal from Steve Jones has stunned Lincoln City at half-time of their crucial Blue Square Bet Premier clash at Sincil Bank.

After dominating the opening stages, Lincoln took the lead in the 11th minute with a fine strike from Todd Jordan after Jake Sheridan hit the post.

Jamie Taylor went close on two occasions while Alan Power also struck wide.

But right on the stroke of half-time Steve Jones diverted Nathan Rooney's free-kick past Paul Farman.

“We got out of jail today and there is hope we might just stay up. Long term this changes nothing and Dorrian and Co must go if we are not to be in the same position in 12 months time.

Great support today - despite everything much of the support is still there and it won't take much to change to bring many more back. That change still has to happen though...............”

“Well..... you muppet, Simpson! Have you got the message now? Finally?!

Get Jamie Taylor up front, In the middle, and he'll score goals.

Leave out the joker and get players in their correct positions and you might witness us staying up!
